For opening night, we are delighted to present the music of award-winning composer Vincent Ho as part of his 40th birthday celebration. Joining us as special guest artist is critically acclaimed dancer/actress Denise Clarke, a member of the Order of Canada, who will be featured as narrator in Ho’s work Maples and the Stream (text by Lien Chao); and as dancer in Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel. Also featured are Thomas Larcher’s thrilling piano trio, Kraken, and the world premiere of a new work by Alexandre David, winner of the Land’s End Composers Competition.
