In October, Land’s End Ensemble participated in a special recital hosted by The University of Saskatchewan’s Fine Arts Research Lecture Series in Music. We performed a program of works by Salina Fisher, Jocelyn Morlock, Alexina Louie, Reena Esmail, and Vincent Ho.
Following, it was really wonderful to be at the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra with Karl Hirzer conducting our artistic director Vincent Ho’s second percussion concerto, From Darkness to Light, featuring our friend Dame Evelyn Glennie. (This was also in celebration of milestone birthdays for both Vince and Evelyn!) That concert was sold out and the audience very appreciative. Great success!
